8 September 2026
Hi everyone!
It’s been a busy couple of days here at Chaos HQ! Everyone’s back at school, and I’ve been beavering away trying to build my very own business empire.
So far, I have:
- Published my first blog post
- Updated this website
- Updated my Facebook page
- Updated my Instagram account
- Created a Pinterest account and started building some boards
- Set up email addresses
- Created some not-so-fancy forms on my website so I can stay in touch with you lovely lot
I feel like I’m completely technologied out!
The main reason for my post today is to share how I’m feeling now that the first buzz of adrenaline is starting to wear off.
I feel like I’ve done the easy bit, and now the real hard work begins.
Over the coming week, I’ve got plenty on my to-do list, as well as finishing my ARC read for Trivium. I’ve been so consumed by this new adventure that I haven’t had the brain capacity to do the one thing I love most… read!
So today, I’m making a point of giving this book the time and attention it deserves.
I’m about twelve chapters in already, and I can tell it’s going to be a huge success for the author. I’m really excited that I’ll be able to share my thoughts and recommendation with you ahead of its publication date on 12 September.
If I’m being completely honest, the nerves are starting to creep in today.
Am I being too confident with my plan?
Will anyone actually want to read any of this?
Do people really care what I think about these books?
The self-doubt is certainly trying to make itself comfortable.
But I’ve decided it isn’t welcome here.
Maybe people will want to read this.
Maybe they won’t.
Maybe people will care what I think about these books.
Maybe they won’t.
But I’ll never know unless I put myself out there and give this dream everything I’ve got.
I need to give those doubts a firm shake and remind myself why I started this journey in the first place.
I’ve spent years dreaming about opening a bookshop.
Now I’m finally doing something about it.
Will there be challenges? Absolutely.
Will there be days when I doubt myself? Probably.
But if I don’t try, I’ll never know what’s possible.
So for now, I’m taking it one day, one blog post, one book review, and one step at a time.
After all, I’ve still got 727 days left to make this dream a reality.
