Welcome to Chrissy in Chaos!
I’m a book lover, reviewer, dreamer, mum, and aspiring bookshop owner from Towcester.
Like many people, life can sometimes feel a little chaotic. Between family life, work, responsibilites, and trying to carve out time for myself, there’s always something demanding my attention. But throughout it all, one thing has remained constant: my love of books!
For as long as I can remember, reading has been my escape. Books have taken me to places I’ve never visited, introduced me to people I’ve never met, and taught me lessons I never expected to learn. Whether it’s getting lost in a gripping thriller, laughing through a heart-warming story, or discovering a new favourite author, I’ve always believed there’s something truly magical about turning the page and stepping into another world.
That’s why I created Chrissy in Chaos.
What started as a place to share my thoughts on the books I read, it has now evolved into something much bigger: a way of documenting my dream of opening my very own bookshop.
On Day 1 of this journey, I made a promise to myself: I would give myself two years to turn that dream into reality.
This website is where I’ll be sharing every step of that adventure. The successes, the challenges, the lessons learned, and hopefully, one day, the story of opening the doors to a bookshop in the town I call home.
My dream is simple.
I want to create a space where people can escape the noise of everyday life, discover their next favourite book, and feel part of a community that shares a love of stories and imagination. A place where children can find books that spark their creativity, adults can rediscover the joy of reading, and everyone feels welcome.
